Social Networking Hits Argentina

Since I can remember, I've been traveling to Argentina to visit my family there. Something that has always struck me is how far behind the technology always was. When computers were already ubiquitous in the US, they were still a novelty there. I can still recall black and white TVs being widespread, etc...

In the past two weeks, I've been flooded with social networking invitations from my generation (not surprising), but also my parent's generation which is interesting. They seem to have a lot more adoption there among the baby-boomers than here in the US. It feels a little odd still, but I guess that that was all going to hit South America at some point.
